A charming and naive oil on canvas painting of a nude lady. Painted in earthy tones, the artist has managed to capture the features of this alluring woman, whilst still managing to discreetly protect her modesty and disguise her identity with subtle strokes in the right places. A wonderful decorative piece, with a real 'Folk Art' feel. The back of the canvas shows clear signs of its age, which I estimate to be between the late 19th - early 20th Century. There are a few small holes to the top right corner, as shown in the pictures, this only adds to its appeal.
