This is an exceptional old cottage table, its thick single plank elm top has the most incredible grain and character, with smooth worn sides. The underside has clear signs that it was primitively hand shaped, showing its age, which we estimate to be late 17th - early 18th century. Two of the legs have brutal worm inflicted battle scars, but this doesn't detract from its character or functionality, and just adds to its story.
