There's so many amazing pieces tucked away, that for one reason or another need to be sold, but the options are sometimes limited. Auction Houses tend to charge the earth in commission for very little work, often achieving poor results or charging you extra to protect your item with a reserve, or you could stick it on eBay or Marketplace and wait for someone to express an interest, then ask you a multitude of questions and request better photo's or close ups of every mark.

There is however another option... and this one is by far my favourite - let me do the legwork and sell it for you. 

My commission is less than auction houses, I arrange the delivery and collection, do all the photography and marketing to present the item in the best possible light, and correspond with the clients and answer all their questions, but best of all... I sell at a retail price.

If any work, restoration or reupholstery is needed before it's ready to sell, I can also arrange to have this done to save you the hassle, this would entirely depend on the value of the item and its potential.

 

Unfortunately not everything fits in with my collection, the style of the website, or what my clients are looking for, but I'll always take a look and get back to you with my thoughts.
